Dyslexia is a specific learning disability that refers to difficulty with reading. Dyslexic people have difficulty putting a sound to the written image they see on paper or on screen. It is characterized by having difficulty with accuracy and/or fluency, and poor spelling and decoding. As a result, they may have problems with reading comprehension. It’s a common misconception that dyslexia is writing or reading backwards.
